The objective of this work was to provide an improved taxi service for arriving passengers. In conjunction with new taxi services supply contracts. The contract involved reconfiguring the existing lanes to give a new layout for taxi pick up. The contract consisted of re-positioning the kerb line to the VIP lane to provide suitably wide space for arriving passengers to pick-up a taxi; and for a limited number (eight) of taxi vehicles to initially wait in an adjacent feeder lane area and then to drive to the pick-up lane (the rolling rank) for an immediate pick-up before departing out of the terminal
