We will ensure that all employees receive information, training and protective equipment / clothing. Multi Civil Contractors Ltd is not currently ISO 18001:2007 accredited but is actively pursuing this to be achieved by early 2018.


Managementare responsible & accountable for:

  • The Managing Director is assigned the role of Health and Safety Manager.
  • Maintaining a Health and Safety System, which will identify, assess and control
  • workplace risks, in consultation with workers.
  • Ensuring plant and substances in the workplace are safe and without risk to health.
  • Providing relevant training and supervision, and participating in regular reviews of the policies.
  • Ensuring all work related incidents, accidents and injuries are accurately reported, recorded and investigated.
  • Identifying and managing risks to reduce and minimise the number and severity of injuries in the workplace.
  • Providing adequate support to effectively manage rehabilitation and return to work processes for employees
  • Ensuring that all workers and visitors comply with appropriate standards to protect their own and others health and safety at work.
  • Reviewing the Health and Safety Management
  • System annually, in consultation with employees, to look for continual improvement.
  • Complying with relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and safe operating procedures.


Employeesare required to:

  • Co-operate with the Health and Safety Policy to ensure their own health and safety and the health and safety of others in the workplace.
  • Participate in the consultation process with Foremen/Site Supervisors.
  • Carry out their work according to the Health and Safety System, use protective clothing and equipment provided, as per training provided, and seek further assistance when safe methods are not understood.
  • Report any hazardous conditions to a Foreman/Site Supervisor promptly, together with any recommendations for corrective action.
  • Notify the company of any illness or injury as soon as possible.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.


Subcontractorsare required to:

  • Demonstrate they operate a comprehensive Health and Safety system, or to adopt the Multi Civil system and provide such additional elements of protection as their work may require.
