Asbestos removal is undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety at Work (Asbestos) Regulations 2016, and in accordance with the WorkSafe NZ Guidelines for the Management and Removal of Asbestos. The new legislation places responsibilities on the Person Controlling the Business or Undertaking (PCBU) where the asbestos removal is to take place. Listed below are some of the important responsibilities with regards to this asbestos removal.
